A SchizoMystical Experience

A SchizoMystical Experience is an immersive show in poetry, dance, illuminations, and video based on vibrant Visions and Voices received by artists on the schizophrenia spectrum. Through multimedia performance, we also convey to the outside world important messages translated from the danced dialogues of non-speaking artists locked away for madness. Together, we advocate for social support and the value of other ways of being in the world—including the special motive and emotive ways of associative, schizo-mystical thinking. Along with a call to end the stigma around neurodivergence and the degradation of those deemed less than human, this revolutionary ideology calls for an end to speciesism overall and its related violence and incarceration by respecting “our” world as more than human.
