Mixed Media Sculpture   Workshop by Katie Truk hosted by ArtWRKD Collaboative Space

August 16 and August 23   6:00-8:00  $100

Paper mache based sculptures will be created during this two week, high energy sculpture class.  The first week discussion and techniques on armatures.  Paper mache recipes will be used to cover various forms.  Second week is all about decoration!  What's your creative language?   Finish your sculptures with anything that calls to you.  Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own knick knacks.  Your piece might still be a little sticky when you bring it home, but you'll be sure to love it! This workshop is approrpiate for 17+

Katie Truk is a mixed media and fiber artist. In a classroom, as an invited speaker, in an art center, college, or in a private home Katie has had the pleasure to work with ages eighteen months through adult, handicap-able to gifted,  exploring, discussing, and experimenting with vast amounts of materials. Her role as educator forces reexamination of art history and materials constantly exploring perspectives and understanding while exposing and inspiring techniques and ideas for personal studio time.
